Virgina and Chad Wed in Katerini, Greece.

In Greek culture, the groom waits in the courtyard outside the church for the bride to arrive, and then they walk into the ceremony together. All the guests (also waiting in the courtyard), follow the bride and groom into the church. The groom also has the bride’s flowers and gives them to her right before the ceremony. It’s a very sweet tradition.

I’ve had lots of folks ask me why Virginia and Chad chose Greece as the destination for their wedding. Well, the answer is pretty simple: Virginia lives in Austin, but she is 100% Greek. Her wedding was definitely special and a great opportunity for me to learn a little about the Greek culture. Not too mention, I ate some of the best food ever!
Thanks so much to Virginia and Chad for including me on such an adventure! What a fantastic time Yimay (assistant extraordinaire) and I had with you guys. I wish you a lifetime of great happiness together.

Heather and Sam’s wedding at The Four Seasons.

Heather and Sam had an absolutely beautiful and elegant wedding at the Four Seasons. The weather was perfect, Heather looked GORGEOUS (Sam was lookin’ pretty good too) and the details were stunning. These are two of the most gracious and patient people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, which became even more evident when I heard all the amazing things their friends and family had to say about them at their toasts. I wish them all the best in their new life together!

As a mom of two boys, these types of images make my heart melt.

I love photographing as much as I can in between formal group shots. You never know what you’re going to get, but it’s usually great candids.

If you haven’t been yet, you’ve got to visit the new W in downtown Austin. The decor and architecture is incredible.

These two were all smiles all night long.

Coral and Daniel’s wedding at Old Glory Ranch.

Coral and Daniel were married at one of my most favorite wedding venues, Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. This wedding really had a lot of unique details. The great owl themed cake and beautiful letterpress programs were beautiful. They had their fingerprints engraved on the inside of their rings. I cannot forget to mention Daniel and the groomsman’s ties; they were all hand silk-screened and purchased from Etsy. I loved their colors, kelly green and yellow which fit perfectly with their creek-side ceremony. Be sure to check out their flowers…STUNNING! The reception was a big fun party with lots of silly dancing, yummy food and photo booth with chalk boards.
